Effects of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors on liver fibrosis in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: An updated meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

•We used LSM, CAP, Serum ferritin, Serum type 4 collagen 7s, FIB-4 index to access the efficacy of SGLT2i on liver fibrosis.•This is the first meta-analysis that exhaustively evaluated the effect of SGLT2i treatment on NAFLD patients with T2DM.•The trials included in this meta-analysis were of high quality, which makes our conclusions more reliable.
