摘要

•This study proposes acid-fast staining combined with GeneXpert MTB/RIF to diagnose non-tuberculous mycobacteria pulmonary disease (NTM-PD).•The combined method for NTM-PD was found to be effective during the waiting period for culture results.•The more detection times of acid-fast staining, the higher the diagnostic sensitivity.
