摘要
Objective. To present the prevalence of adults who attended for chronic noncommunicable diseases (CNCD) detection tests in the previous year, the prevalence due to previous diagnosis of some CNCDs, as well as the proportion of those who follow pharmacological treatment. Materials and methods. Information from the questionnaires of 11 895 adult participants in the Encuesta Nacional de Salud y Nutricion 2022 was analyzed. Prevalence and 95% confidence intervals are presented. Results. In the previous year, 12.2% of adults were tested for diabetes, 9.1% for hypertension, and 9.0% for dyslipidemia. The prevalence of diabetes due to a prior diagnosis is 10.9%, hypertension is 15.9%, and hypercholesterolemia is 30.6%. Among them, 89.5, 81.7, and 60.4% follow pharmacological treatment. Conclusion. The percentages of those who attended for screening tests are still low and lesser than those observed in 2012. Both the prevalence due to a previous diagnosis of diabetes and hypercholesterolemia have increased, while that of hypertension decreased by 0.17%. It is recommended that the detection of cardiovascular risk factors, including diabetes, be carried out in an integrated manner, and the treatment rates be increased.
