摘要

•The global mortality and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) rates of respiratory syncytial virus showed a downward trend.•The pace of decline for mortality and DALYs rates was not uniform across age groups.•The mortality is still high in the children under 5 years, which needs more attention.•More attention should be paid to the low Socio-demographic Index area and the elderly over 70 years.
