The production of bioplastics in the world through microorganisms is constantly increasing. The main biopolymers produced by microorganisms are polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) and poly-3-hydroxybutyrate (PHB). The countries that own the plastic production technology are the United States and South Korea.
