摘要
Hydrogels are one of the most investigated classes of materials for biomedical applications. These are highly cross-linked hydrophilic molecules that hold water inside them. When synthesized in the submicron range, these hydrogels are known as nanogels. They have been extensively studied as they open vast possibilities for their applications owing to their properties which presents a classic blend of hydrogel and nanocarriers. They are intelligent particles holding tunable stimuli-responsive nature. Their ability to respond to different stimuli, such as light, enzyme, pH, redox, and temperature, makes them highly specific and sensitive for biomedical applications. This chapter deals with the discussion about thermoresponsive nanogels. It will cover various thermosensitive polymers, their combinations, properties, and potential for drug delivery, imaging, and cancer management.
