The importance of patient educational programs for successful food oral immunotherapy

In the light of many children's difficulties to understand the goals of food oral immunotherapy (OIT) and to accept the fact of eating a food that was until then forbidden, we created a personal patient educational program dedicated to OIT. We present the course of this program, as well as the results of a study assessing its benefits through a patient survey conducted in 2020 on 50 children and their parents.& COPY; 2023 Elsevier Masson SAS.
