Complex Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in Diabetics Requiring Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL)—Long-Term Outcomes in a Single Centre

Diabetic patients have increased risk of coronary artery disease, more complex coronary disease, and poorer longer-term outcomes post-PCI. Calcific coronary disease can aggravate this. Consecutive diabetic patients with de novo lesions undergoing PCI with IVL between September 2019–January 2023 were analysed for a primary endpoint of target lesion revascularisation (TLR) and secondary endpoint of cardiovascular death in follow-up.
