摘要

•RANS modeling was used to simulate H-type Darrieus rotor with NACA 0021 airfoil.•An optimization was done to find the optimum microcylinder upstream of the blades.•A fixed/rotating microcylinder has been used for improving the rotor performance.•The rotating microcylinder upstream of the blade reduced the dynamic-stall chance.•Enhancement of power coefficient has been achieved by rotating the microcylinder.
