The association of medical providers’ attitudes about naloxone and treating people with opioid use disorder and their self-reported low-barrier treatment practices

•Low barrier buprenorphine is associated with longer treatment retention.•OUD treatment attitudes are associated with low barrier buprenorphine practices.•Naloxone attitudes were minimally related to low barrier buprenorphine practices.•Provider training should focus on the connection between attitudes and practices.
