摘要
Compared with patients who undergo renal and islet transplantation sequentially, simultaneous omentum intraomental bio-scaffold islet-kidney transplantation in patients with type 1 diabetes complicated by renal failure has the advantages of donor homologation, less trauma, lower cost, and easier acceptance by patients. Omentum intraomental bio-scaffold islet has been gradually applied in clinical practice, and rare clinical complications have been reported. Here we report a case of abdominal abscess associated with extended-spectrum beta-lactamase in a patient who underwent simultaneous omentum intraomental bio-scaffold islet-kidney transplantation; the islet grafts remained partially functional after appropriate anti-infective treatment.
