2D TiO2/Ti3C2 conductive substrate enhanced the photoelectrochemical performance of hematite for water splitting

摘要
•Hematite photoanode with nano-coral morphology was prepared successfully by hydrothermal method on 2D TiO2/Ti3C2 conductive substrate.•Investigate the effect of different substrates on PEC properties of hematite for water splitting.•The TiO2/Ti3C2-hematite sample has the optimal photcurrent response of 1.29 mA cm−2 at 1.23 V (vs. RHE).
