Measurement of impulsivity using the upps impulsive behavior scales in clinical and nonclinical youth populations: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Deficient impulse control is prominent in many psychiatric conditions and disruptive behaviors in children and adolescents. The Urgency, Premeditation (lack of), Perseverance (lack of), Sensation Seeking (UPPS) Impulsive Behavior Scale assesses distinct components of impulsivity and is used widely in research, but its use in clinical settings remains limited. We aimed to summarize the literature on the use of the UPPS in youth populations.
