摘要
Background: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS®) principles have been implemented worldwide and demonstrate evidence-based improvement in patient outcomes, however, pharmacoprophylaxis for common postoperative complications (POCs) is not well studied or understood. In adults undergoing elective pancreatic surgery, this retrospective cohort study was conducted to determine the rates of in-hospital and post-discharge surgical site infection (SSI) and venous thromboembolism (VTE), and what, if any, medications are associated with improved POCs.
