Despite advancements in mapping and therapeutic technology, Non-PAF procedural success remains suboptimal. Interplay of Non-PV triggers and associated substrate are theorized to be the mechanisms behind AF arrhythmogenesis. Measures of substrate have long been used to identify and guide therapeutic approaches to varying degrees of success. However, due to the technical challenges of mapping and localizing a single-beat or transient phenomena, triggers remain understudied and undertreated.
