摘要
New generation of telecommunication satellite payloads are becoming more and more complex, thus requiring greater data capacity together with a higher density of RF equipment on board. The input bandpass filters located in the payload receiver front-end operate over a wide band frequency range, rejecting out-of-band noise together with possible interference signals. Therefore, the main drivers for broadband input filters are compactness, wide bandwidth (BW), wide spurious frequency range, low in-band insertion loss (IL). In this scenario, the conventional filter solutions based on waveguide cavities present good performance but are bulky and heavy.
