Land Rebound in Changzhou (2016-2022): Insights from InSAR Time Series Monitoring
2023 SAR in Big Data Era (BIGSARDATA)(2023)
摘要
The groundwater dynamics in Changzhou have transformed from overexploitation to gradual recharge after 20 years of implementation of the policies restricting its exploitation. We utilized 192 Sentinel-1 images between 2016 and 2022 and employed Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) to monitor the ground deformation. Results show that the cumulative land rebound within the primary urban area is more than 40 mm, which exceeds the 37 mm uplift in 2003–2013. Different deformation patterns were observed in the urban and suburban residential zones. In the primary urban area with a rising groundwater table, the settlement of the newly constructed region is counteracted by the ground uplift.
