Harnessing piezoelectric and flexoelectric synergies in one-dimensional heterostructure nanofibers for nano-energy harvesting and self-powered sensors

•Flexible piezoelectric energy harvesters (PEH) filled with 1D heterostructure nanofibers are prepared.•The PEH device with incredible piezoelectric characteristics combines measurable output voltage and current (∼149.2 V and ∼ 17.3 μA).•The FPEH mounted on shared bikes can offer power to onboard sensors, verifying great potential for application.
