Compact Lumped-Element Wilkinson Power Dividers with Low Insertion Loss

In this paper, we propose a low-loss, compact Wilkinson power divider that utilizes an LC-ladder topology. The equivalent circuit of this topology is compared to the traditional lumped-element CLC-style Wilkinson circuit, and their matching parameters and scatter matrices in terms of amplitude and phase shift are analyzed. The results of the analysis reveal that the proposed power divider can achieve a reduction in component size while maintaining low insertion loss. Additionally, the relationship between component size and insertion loss for both structures is revealed through theoretical analysis and verified through simulations, demonstrating good agreement.
