Effects of High-Pressure Environment on Deep-sea Fe-Co-V Alloys Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

An advanced deep-sea permanent magnet synchronous motors design method is proposed in this study. The high-pressure environment will seriously deteriorate the magnetic properties of the traditional soft magnetic material silicon steel sheet used in the motor, which will lead to a decrease in motor efficiency. As a kind of soft magnetic alloy with high saturation magnetic density, Fe-Co-V alloy instead of silicon steel sheet is used in the motor to significantly improve the torque density of the motor. However, the variation law of its magnetic properties in a high-pressure environment is blank. Through the study of Fe-Co-V alloy, it is found that at high pressure, the magnetic properties of the material change much slightly than that of silicon steel sheet. Accordingly, the use of Fe-Co-V alloy to manufacture deep-sea motors is proposed in this study. Compared with the motor made of silicon steel sheet, the advantages of the efficiency and torque of deep sea Fe-Co-V alloy permanent magnet synchronous motors are verified.
