Calculation Method of Tower Ground Inclination in the Field of Line Lightning Protection based on Entropy Weight Method in Mountainous Area

Lightning often leads to the failure of power grid transmission lines. In order to improve the lightning protection level of the power grid, it is necessary to carry out the differential lightning protection assessment of the line according to the insulation configuration of the line, the terrain and landform of the line, and the lightning activity. However, it is difficult to accurately obtain the terrain and geomorphology of the line tower location, especially the slope angle at the tower location, but it is crucial to the lightning protection evaluation results of the line. In this paper, the calculation method of tower ground inclination in lightning protection assessment of transmission lines in mountainous areas based on entropy weight method is proposed. Taking the ground inclination data of 20 right sampling points of 500 kV high voltage transmission lines as an example, the influence of ground inclination calculated by different methods on lightning risk assessment is studied, and the calculation results of tower ground inclination are compared and analyzed with the inverse distance weight method. The results show that the calculated value of the ground inclination angle of the line tower estimated by the information entropy weight is more accurate than the actual ground inclination value on the right side of the tower.
