摘要
Optical frequency combs (OFCs) are among the most accurate measurement tools available. They are based on mode-locked lasers and emit a spectrum of equidistant lines separated by the repetition rate $f_{r}$ of the cavity. The complete comb is shifted from the origin by the carrier-envelope offset frequency $f_{CEO}$ . Various noise sources affect the width of the individual teeth and ultimately limit the performance of these unprecedented instruments. Here, we exploit the interplay between cavity dispersion and pump power to minimize the phase noise in fiber-based OFCs tailor-designed for front-end applications both in the time and frequency domain.
