摘要
Microwave-assisted magnetic recording (MAMR) is a promising candidate for ultra-high-density recording de- vices. In this study, microwave-assisted magnetization switching (MAS) and MAMR characteristics of exchange - coupled composite media with layer anisotropy structures were numerically estimated. MAS characteristics showed that the order and duration of applied magnetic fields (head and microwave fields) could significantly affect the switching characteristics, depending on the layer anisotropy structure. The optimization of the layer anisotropy structure significantly improved microwave assistance for signal recording, resulting in a signal-to- noise ratio of 17 dB without increasing the magnetic write width.
