DESSALINIZAÇÃO DA ÁGUA: SOLUÇÃO NO PROCESSO DE ESCASSEZ DE UM BEM VALIOSO

The article is a literature review that presents as its central axis the process of water scarcity on planet earth, through the indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources in recent centuries, showing the current share of water, as well as the new International Labor Division (ILD) interfered to that the BRICS were at the center of the process demand for water for agribusiness and industries and the possible problems these countries will face in the coming decades if nothing is done. In collecting data on the theme, we used the SciELO and Google Scholar databases. As a result, the text highlights the saltwater desalination technique as a viable option for scarcity problems through sustainable economic development.
