Evolution of Intra-Tumoral and Peripheral Pro-Tumorigenic Response During Primary Cytoreductive Surgery for Ovarian Cancer (187)
Gynecologic oncology(2023)
Abstract
Primary cytoreductive surgery is essential in the treatment of advanced-stage high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC). However, paracrine and neuroendocrine response induced by surgery may release factors associated with angiogenesis, antitumor immunity suppression, and malignant cell invasion. Here, we aimed to examine the evolution of intratumoral and peripheral stress response in patients undergoing primary cytoreductive surgery (PCS) for advanced-stage HGSOC.
