摘要
Pomacea canaliculata meat extract (PCE) was explored as a multifunctional green corrosion inhibitor on carbon steel (CS) in 1 M HCl and 0.5 M H2SO4. The results showed that PCE has a high corrosion inhibition effect in both acids. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet-visible universal (UV-Vis) and high--performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were used to analyze the chemical composition and functional groups of PCE, which were mainly composed of leucine, glutamic acid, and arginine. The corrosion protection performance of PCE as a multifunctional corrosion inhibitor was studied by electrochemical methods, and the results showed that the corrosion inhibition efficiency of PCE on CS in 1 M HCl and 0.5 M H2SO4 were 97.94 % and 94.38 %, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscope (AFM) were used to observe the corrosion morphology of the metal. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to determine the composition of CS surfaces. Quantum chemistry calculations (QC) and molecular dynamics simulations (MS) were used to predict the adsorption/inhibition properties of some major compounds and chemical trans-formations formed by the extract. This work helps to explain and understand the mechanism of green corrosion inhibitors in both acids. The study shows that using inexpensive and easily available natural substances as green corrosion inhibitors provides a new approach for achieving both resource utilization and environmental protection.
