摘要
The current gold standard for the treatment of cervical dystonia is botulinum toxin (BoNT) injections administered every 12 weeks.1,2,3 However, patients commonly report that BoNT benefit does not last the entire 12 weeks.2,4,5 Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) provides an option to potentiate and possibly prolong the benefits of BoNT for patients with cervical dystonia. Low-frequency rTMS targeted at the dorsal premotor cortex (dPMC) has been shown to improve arm and hand dystonia6,7,8,9, but the benefits of rTMS for cervical dystonia have not yet been studied.
