摘要
We investigated the prevalence of self-reported menstrual flow intensity among college students and the impact of differences in self-reported menstrual flow intensity on menstruation experiences and daily activities of college students. College students completed an online survey about menstrual flow intensity and symptoms, impact of menstruation on daily activities, and menstruation-related stress. Individuals with self-reported heavy menstrual flow were more likely to have missed class and work and canceled social activities compared to individuals with a light or moderate menstrual flow. Providing education about options to improve management of heavy menstrual flow is critical to mitigating negative menstruation experiences.
