摘要
( Acta Anaesthesiol Scand . 2022;66:103–113) Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) continues to be a life-threatening complication following delivery. Anesthesia is required for the treatment of PPH when emptying the uterine cavity or manual placenta removal, and the choice between using general or regional anesthesia is impacted by factors such as airway, existing epidural, hypovolemia, and tradition. This study aimed to describe the variation in anesthesia for PPH treatment procedures as well as the occurrence of aspiration and difficult or failed intubation for Danish nationals between 2010 and 2015.
