Molecular Epidemiology of Hepatitis C Virus Infection and Evaluation of the Outcome of Direct Acting Antivirals Treatment in Patients with Chronic Liver Disease in West Bengal, India

Background and Aim: Direct acting antivirals (DAAs) are considered a game changer in the treatment of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Despite this fact, reports on genomic diversity and evaluation of the outcome of DAAs treatment are rare among HCV-infected chronic liver disease (CLD) patients in India. This study aimed to unravel HCV molecular epidemiology, emphasizing the assessment of DAAs treatment outcome in West Bengal, India.
