摘要
Long-distance oil pipeline is a preferred method for crude oil transportation because of its economy, high efficiency, and low energy consumption. It is of great significance to assess the risk and increase the safety of oil pipelines. In this paper, the quantitative risk assessment method is used to identify the hazard factors of the long-distance oil pipeline in high consequence areas. The oil pipelines are divided into several segments and the risk assessment model for each segment is established separately to quantitatively calculate the risk value of each segment. The failure probability of oil pipelines and the possible consequences of different failure modes are analyzed in detail. Then the measures and rectification suggestions for risk reduction are proposed, which is beneficial for improving pipeline integrity management. The results of this paper provide theoretical support for maintaining the safe operation and strengthening the integrity management of long-distance oil pipelines.
