Quantifying Outcomes in Applied Behavior Analysis Through Visual and Statistical Analyses: A Synthesis

Applied behavior analysis employs visual analysis as the primary means of establishing treatment effects in single-subject experimental designs. In addition, there are several strategies that can be used to evaluate intervention effectiveness such non-overlap indices, mean-based effect sizes, analyses resulting in a p value as their main output, and regression-based analyses. This chapter will review strategies for the visual and statistical analysis of single-case data in applied behavior analysis.
