摘要
Polyglycerol-functionalized nanodiamond (ND-PG) is oxidized by nitroxyl radical derivatives as catalysts to transform primary alcohols to carboxy groups in a controllable manner. The resulting poly(glycerol-co-glyceric acid) on ND surface contains two kinds of oxygen-containing functional groups, hydroxy and carboxy ones, to allow further conjugation of two different functional moieties such as targeting and therapeutic ones. This method can be applied to various PG-functionalized nanoparticles to construct a wide variety of biomedical nanodevices. More information can be found in the Research Article by Masahiro Nishikawa, and Naoki Komatsu et al.
