Background and aims: Promising outcomes have been reported for robotic pancreatoduodenectomy (RPD) from experienced high-volume centers. Large nationwide series comparing RPD with open pancreatoduodenectomy (OPD) are lacking. This study aimed to compare our nationwide first experience with RPD compared to OPD.
