Synthesis of 1,9-Diphenyldipyrrins and Their Rhenium(I) Complexation

Two new 1,9-diphenyldipyrrins ligands were first synthesized and their Re(I) complexation were also evaluated. A new five-coordinate rhenium(I) tricarbonyl dipyrrin complex has been successfully obtained as a result of the synergitical effect of electron withdrawing pentafluorobenzo substituent and steric effect of 1,9-phenyl units.
