摘要
•Fish gelatin and octenyl succinic anhydride starch nanocomposite films were obtained.•Tensile strength of nanocomposite films was improved by nanocellulose addition.•The films became more homogeneous as the nanocellulose concentration increased.•Nanocellulose addition controlled the release of Satureja khuzistanica essential oil.•The main release mechanism of essential oil from films was the Fickian diffusion.
