Abstract
Relay protection equipment is an important defense line in the power system. It is necessary to conduct special research on the reliability, risk assessment, and fault location of intelligent substation relay protection equipment to improve the reliability of relay protection equipment and ensure the reliability of power system operation. This article proposes a fast and accurate method for fault location of relay protection equipment to ensure the reliability of relay protection equipment operation and to ensure its reliability. Quickly and accurately locate and handle faults to reduce the risk of faults. Firstly, a reliability model was constructed using Markov, which can effectively obtain the real-time state probability distribution of each RPE. Secondly, a severity model for the corresponding indicators was established using a mixed utility function to describe the risk consequences. Finally, a fault location model for relay protection equipment was constructed using a matrix algorithm and BPNN. At the same time, the logical relationship and state analysis formula between each state of the secondary system were combined, and the BPNN model was used to optimize the shortcomings of the matrix algorithm. Simulation and example analysis results showed that the method achieved the expected requirements for fault location of protection equipment.
