DMA study of recrystallization kinetic in non-ferrous alloys

Effect of recrystallization in Al-, Cu-, Mg-, Ti- and Ni-based alloys on temperature and amplitude dependent damping of forced mechanical vibration measured by DMA Q800 TA Instruments is analyzed. Different annealing regimes such as instant and interrupted heating, isothermal annealing are proposed. Formation of pseudo recrystallization internal friction peak is discussed.
