New technologies in the naval area, from the in-tensive and extensive use of Power Electronics, have brought improvements to vessels such as greater maneuverability, the creation of high-power weapons and increased flexibility. Although the benefits of this technological evolution are unquestionable, the changes brought concerns about the Quality of Electric Energy-QEE of the onboard electrical grid. Solutions such as energy storage systems, converter control techniques, etc., are being studied and developed to reduce PQ problems. The purpose of this work is to study the main electrical power quality (PQ) problems in modern warships such as bus voltage disturbances and propose a solution to mitigate this problem. To verify the operation of the onboard electrical grid and its PQ problems generated by the use of high power load, on the DC side, the simulator Typhoon Hil 604 was used on the DC side.
