European journal of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive biology(2024)
摘要
We read a paper The impact of femoral rotation on sacroiliac articulation during pregnancy. Is there evidence to support Farabeuf's hypothesis by finite element modelization? with a great interest [1]. We are referring to it from a clinical perspective. In our experience, sacroiliac (SI) articulation plays an essential role in the mechanics of labor. In the period from the 27th of April 2021 to the 19th of May 2022 in Clinical Hospital Sveti Duh, an obstetrics and gynecology resident and manual therapist applied osteopathic techniques and manual rotation of the fetal head (MR) in term labor to resolve mechanical dystocia and reduce the number of cesarean sections.
