Introduction: Lymphoedema is a common complication following breast cancer treatment. Axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) and axillary radiation increases the risk of developing lymphoedema. Neither NICE guidelines nor local hospitals policies have included pre-treatment evaluation of limbs as a measure for early recognition and prevention of lymphoedema.
