This paper explores the application of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in powering sensor nodes, which are crucial for various IoT applications. We introduce a novel approach of utilizing Multiple Dormant NFC Chips (MDCs) to consistently provide the necessary power to comprehensive systems within a sensor node. These MDCs, when in a dormant state achieved by disabling RF communication, act as dedicated voltage sources. The experimental setup includes an NFC Reader and a custom-made node with an NFC Chip tuned at 13.56 MHz, exploring the potential of MDCs to enhance current capability and ensure effective node functionality. This innovative strategy aims to harness the efficiency of NFC technology to maintain continuous power supply in low-power applications.
