Enhancing DVB-T2 Coverage Using Antenna Pattern Optimization
IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science(2024)
Abstract
Abstract In Indonesia, the government has adopted digital TV broadcasting standards using the DVB-T2 (Digital Video Broadcasting-Second Generation Terrestrial) system. The development of television technology today is highly dependent on advances in antennas. Antennas are an important part of the significant development of wireless technology. This research focuses on developing an optimal antenna pattern design to overcome existing problems. By optimizing the antenna’s radiation pattern, beamforming can increase coverage area, improve signal reception, and reduce interference from other areas. In this research, the utilization and simulation are conducted with the purpose of utilizing software as a tool to aid in the design of an antenna pattern beamforming. The aim is to create a design that aligns with the characteristics of the topography and geographical conditions specific to the Jateng 1 region. This research employs software assistance for precise analysis and simulation, aiming to create efficient radiation patterns. Through the implementation of the appropriate antenna pattern beamforming design, it is anticipated that the broadcasting quality of DVB-T2 in the Jateng 1 region could experience a significant enhancement. This research aims to produce an antenna pattern design that possesses strong and efficient signal strength and distribution, thus fulfilling the information needs of the community in the Jateng 1 region.
