He has authored or co-authored close to 250 journal articles and book chapters. His research has attracted multiple external grants in Canada, Australia, and in some other countries. In 2016, he was identified as the 12th most productive researcher internationally in the field of educational psychology (Greenbaum et al., 2016, Educational Psychology Review, 28, 2, 215-223). He was also identified as a highly cited researcher by the Web of Science in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
