Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) is a 700-bed hospital located in Jurong East, Singapore. Named after Singaporean late entrepreneur, Ng Teng Fong, the hospital is part of an integrated development together with the adjoining Jurong Community Hospital. It began operations on 30 June 2015 after JurongHealth's move from Alexandra Hospital and was officially opened on 10 October that year.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and metabolic dysfunction–associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) have been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. This study seeks to examine the prognostic value of the coexistence of CKD and MASLD in patients presenting with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). This cohort study describes the clinical characteristics and long-term outcomes of patients following AMI, stratified by the presence of CKD and MASLD. A Kaplan–Meier curve was constructed for 30-day mortality. Cox regression analysis was used to investigate independent predictors of long-term all-cause mortality, adjusted for age, sex, ethnicity, previous AMI, AMI type, and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). A total of 6757 patients with AMI were examined. Those with coexisting CKD and MASLD (CKD(+)/MASLD(+)) had the highest rates of obesity (97.7
Medication adherence is essential for effective management of allergic rhinitis (AR), yet real-world adherence to guideline-recommended pharmacotherapies remains poorly characterized. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to estimate pooled adherence proportions to prescribed intranasal corticosteroids and oral antihistamines in adults with AR, further stratified by adherence measurement method and geographic region. Twelve studies encompassing 191,103 AR patients were included. Overall pooled adherence to both intranasal corticosteroids and oral antihistamines was 43
To evaluate the pathological adequacy of morcellated ERBT specimens using a two-round Delphi methodology and to establish expert consensus among leading pathologists worldwide. Core pathological parameters relevant for ERBT specimens were predefined, and representative high-quality digital slides of morcellated ERBT specimens were selected. These images were reviewed by an international panel of expert uropathologists with extensive experience in bladder cancer. A two-round Delphi survey was conducted, in which panelists rated the importance of predefined pathological parameters on a 5-point Likert scale. The items on which a consensus was not reached during the first round, were reviewed and rephrased for the second round involving the same responders. Consensus was defined as > 75
Double-J (DJ) ureteral stents are essential for managing urinary tract obstruction, infection, and perioperative drainage, but up to 80
The management of antithrombotic therapy in patients undergoing endoscopic surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) remains challenging due to competing risks of thromboembolism and perioperative bleeding. This meta-analysis evaluated perioperative outcomes among patients undergoing endoscopic prostate procedures while continuing antiplatelet (APT) or anticoagulant (AC) therapy compared with patients not receiving antithrombotic treatment. Literature search was conducted on 17th September 2025 including PubMed, Medline, Embase, and Scopus database, to identify comparative studies evaluating perioperative outcomes of endoscopic prostate procedures in patients on versus off APT/AC therapy were identified. Data were pooled using random-effects models to estimate mean differences (MD) or odds ratios (OR) with 95
