Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Russian: Нижегородский государственный архитектурно-строительный университет) is a public university located in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. It was founded in 1930.
The article explores the impact of the level of geometric detail on the accuracy of modeling physical processes over a digital twin of high-tech facilities. A miniature subsonic wind tunnel is used as an example. The authors have conducted a series of computer simulations with pipe models, varying in the degree of detail: from simplified to the most detailed. By comparing the results of these simulations, the researchers aim to determine the optimal level of model detail to create the most accurate digital twin. The findings are planned to be used to make practical recommendations on the selection of suitable geometric models for the creation of digital twins intended for aerodynamic research. Thus, the aim of the work is to establish the relationship between the complexity of the geometric model and the accuracy of the results of modeling aerodynamic processes in a digital twin. The more accurate the model, the more computing resources will be required, so finding the optimal balance between accuracy and computational efficiency is a key research objective.
The article examines utopian and dystopian works through the prism of the concept “representation-preview” thus manifesting realistic and constructivist duality of these genres. The linguistic and philosophical aspects of the suggested concept are considered. The novels “Looking Backward: 2000-1887” by E. Bellamy and “1984” by G. Orwell serve as the material of the research. Representation allows to reassemble the writers’ real world into the picture defining the borders of the subject and the objective reality; preview points at the possibility to change the societal realia according to the subject’s vision.
The high degree of uncertainty, rapid changes, and the impact of information technology are creating new challenges in the field of project management. This article provides a detailed overview of the main concepts of project management, accompanied by real-life examples. It analyzes the key principles and mechanisms used for effective planning, coordination, and control of project activities. Based on this analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of each method are identified.
2025 is the year of the 25th anniversary of establishing the unified State Geodetic Coordinate System in 1995 (SK-95). The introduction of a new high-precision coordinate system in 2000, which makes it possible to improve the level of the state geodetic support system qualitatively, caused a large number of responses from specialists. But in many articles, critical reviews on the accuracy of implementing the SK-95, the efficiency and timeliness of its introduction were and are still being expressed. The publication reveal the reasons, methods, and results of developing the SK-95, as well as the general principles for a modern geodetic support system. The work on creating and equalization of the Doppler Geodetic Network, used in separate fragments over a period of almost ten years from 1984 to 1993, is described in detail. Organizational, scientific and technical measures for the introduction of the SK-95 coordinate system are considered, including alignment of class 3 and 4 networks and compilation of geodetic points catalogues corresponding to the 1
