with the support of UNESCO and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), the Training Centre in Communication (TCC Africa) was honored to host the community of African researchers and academics for a webinar titled 'Social Justice & Gender in Universities.In observance of the events theme "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality", the guest speakers explored various challenges faced by women in universities due to disparities in citations compared to their male colleagues and the impact this has on their careers.This webinar was covered in the national Kenya newspaper, the People Daily, highlighting OWSD Nigeria National Chapter Chair Prof. Olayinka Ibiwumi Nwachukwu, who emphasized OWSD's role in creating awareness of women scientists through strategic partnerships as a means of increasing their citation and visibility.
