This study investigates how project professionals perceive the influence of project managers' communication competencies on five dimensions of project success: project efficiency, team satisfaction, client satisfaction, business success, and long-term organizational capability development. Using the multidimensional framework of Shenhar and Dvir, data were collected through a cross-sectional survey of 257 professionals across industries. Communication competencies were operationalized as a multidimensional construct covering verbal, graphical, formal, informal, and interpersonal behaviors. The findings indicate a consistently strong perceived association between communication competencies and all success dimensions, particularly client satisfaction and business performance. The results emphasize the transversal role of communication in project governance and highlight its strategic importance in digitally mediated and stakeholder-intensive project settings.
Agile methodologies are widely adopted in software development projects; however, their effectiveness varies across contexts. Prior research has focused primarily on procedural routines, providing limited insight into the cognitive and behavioral mechanisms through which Agile practices enhance performance, particularly within emerging economies. This study investigates the mediating roles of perceived shared mental models and team adaptability in the relationship between Agile practices and team performance. Survey data were collected from 252 software professionals in Vietnam and analyzed using mediation analysis (PROCESS Model 4) with bootstrap resampling and robust standard errors. The findings indicate that Agile practices enhance team performance both directly and indirectly through perceived shared mental models and adaptability. By proposing a dual-pathway model of Agile effectiveness, this study advances Agile and project management research while offering practical implications for strengthening Agile adoption through shared cognition and adaptive capabilities.
A survey distributed to over 150 construction professionals yielded 123 valid responses to identify the root causes of delays in the construction industry and assess their impact on project outcomes. The findings underscore project management inefficiencies as the predominant cause of project timeline disruptions. Key contributors include scope changes, communication breakdowns, stakeholder disputes, approval delays, and sluggish decision-making by project managers. Additionally, limited access to advanced construction techniques, inadequate funding, and ambiguous financial processes impede timely project completion. The study employed statistical analysis to support these findings, revealing a significant correlation between project delays and both project management factors (r = 0.358, p-value < 0.01) and financial constraints (r = 0.313, p-value < 0.01).
This study illuminates innovation and its importance in determining economic and social growth. However, obstacles and challenges hinder the successful implementation of innovation. This study aims to revolutionize the role of the project management office (PMO) as a critical enabler for promoting and managing the innovation process and deepen our knowledge of a specific concept, focusing on depth rather than breadth. By adopting the narrative literature review, the initial search identified 655 articles; however, the final dataset included 59 articles analyzed to investigate the association between PMO and innovation. The findings reveal the capabilities required for successful innovation projects, which can be classified as dynamic innovation and project capabilities. The study findings have practical implications for organizations choosing and aligning the right PMO design with their organizational, strategic, and innovation objectives.
International frameworks and accreditations define the core competencies required of information technology (IT) project managers. Among these, technical skills are often cited as important, particularly in IT-focused projects. However, the technical competencies required-and the extent to which project managers should possess them-remain unclear. The literature on this topic is limited, though existing studies indicate that technical proficiency contributes to project success in technical domains. To explore this gap, semi-structured interviews with IT project managers and project participants were undertaken to examine perceptions of technical skills. Findings reveal a divide between participants with technical education, who emphasized the necessity of technical expertise, whereas those without technical qualifications highlighted communication, motivation, and attitude as most critical. The study contributes insights into the strategic value that technical capability adds to IT project management effectiveness through the strategic capability model for technical project management.

Survey data was collected from 168 IT professionals and analyzed. The results provide strong empirical support for the application of the Deming management method to address this persistent problem. In particular, the results support all hypothesized relationships among the quality management concepts comprising the Deming model, while at the same time the Deming model provides strong predictive ability for both customer satisfaction with IT project deliverables and meeting project performance goals of budget, schedule, and system functionality.
Ecosystems are our planet's life-support systems that facilitate sustainable development. Within the marine ecosystem, oysters serve as a keystone species. Numerous oyster restoration projects have been launched with a crucial element involving precise assessment of oyster population sizes within specific reef areas. However, the current methods of tracking oyster populations are approximate and lack precision. To address this research gap, the authors developed an AI-empowered project for oyster detection. Specifically, they created a dataset of wild oysters, utilized Roboflow for image annotation, and employed image augmentation techniques to augment the training data. Then, they fine-tuned a YOLOv8 computer vision object detection model using their dataset. The results demonstrated a mean average precision (mAP) of 85.2 percent and an accuracy of 87.7 percent for oyster detection. This approach improved upon previous attempts to detect wild oysters, offering a more effective solution for population assessment, which is a fundamental step toward sustainable oyster restoration project management.

The purpose of the work is to demonstrate the results of modeling the impact of innovation on the efficiency of operating costs for crop production by agricultural enterprises. Based on the dialectical method of cognition, abstract-logical, and graphic methods were used; nonlinear correlation-regression analysis and economic-mathematical modeling It is established that the innovations of technical and technological character contribute to the increase of the extremum of the yield function. At the same time, the impact of innovation on the profit function is twofold. In the case of free product innovation, an increase in output estimated at market prices generates an increase in the extremum of the profit function while increasing the profit optimum of costs. That is why the latter is approaching the technological optimum. In turn, the innovation payoff affects the profit curve, reducing the value of the cost optimum and the function extremum. However, a significant increase in the cost of an innovative product can lead to a decrease in profit below the achieved level.

The literature revealed approximately 50% of IT-related projects around the world fail, which must frustrate a sponsor or decision maker since their ability to forecast success is statistically about the same as guessing with a random coin toss. Nonetheless, some project success/failure factors have been identified, but often the effect sizes were statistically negligible. A pragmatic mixed methods recursive approach was applied, using structured programming, machine learning (ML), and statistical software to mine a large data source for probable project success/failure indicators. Seven feature indicators were detected from ML, producing an accuracy of 79.9%, a recall rate of 81%, an F1 score of 0.798, and a ROCa of 0.849. A post-hoc regression model confirmed three indicators were significant with a 27% effect size. The contributions made to the body of knowledge included: A conceptual model comparing ML methods by artificial intelligence capability and research decision making goal, a mixed methods recursive pragmatic research design, application of the random forest ML technique with post hoc statistical methods, and a preliminary list of IT project failure indicators analyzed from big data.
