A study of elderly patients with cerebrovascular accident (CVA) is described. The degree to which visual dysfunction occurred, the symptoms experienced, and the treatment given are detailed. The conclusion drawn is that the orthoptist should be a part of the multi-disciplinary team in the treatment and rehabilitation of these patients.
