
It is well documented that good nutrition during pregnancy is essential for the health of both the fetus and the pregnant woman. Various barriers may prevent pregnant women from consuming all the vital nutrients recommended; this can include poverty, access to food, nausea and vomiting. However, many women may unwittingly elude important nutrients by following restrictive diets, such as vegetarian or vegan diets, often believing that this is a healthy option. Fortification of food and supplementation of key micronutrients, particularly folic acid, vitamin D and iron can help to ensure optimal nutritional status in pregnant women, particularly where diets may be lacking. Globally, Governments and health organisations have issued recommendations and/or started schemes that aim to optimise micronutrient intake in pregnancy, mainly via targeted supplementation. © 2018 TeknoScienze. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES:To study the effects of galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) on the skin, we investigated skin-related parameters in healthy adults who received GOS for 12 weeks.METHODS AND STUDY DESIGN:This double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study included subjects divided into two groups (control and GOS) by stratified block randomization. The GOS group received 1.0 g of GOS twice a day, whereas the control group received only vehicle.RESULTS:The results showed that the increase in corneometer values from baseline to week 12 was significantly greater in the GOS group than in the control group (6.91 vs 2.88 arbitrary units, p<0.05). The transepidermal water loss (TEWL) in the GOS group was reduced significantly after 12 weeks of GOS treatment (20.1 g/h/m2 at baseline vs 17.5 g/h/m2 at week 12, p<0.05). The differences in total and percentage of wrinkle areas between the two groups were statistically significant after 12 weeks of GOS treatment (p<0.05).CONCLUSION:Our findings support that oral treatment with GOS is beneficial to the skin and present the possibility of new nutritional strategies for skin care.

Through Harsanyi transformation, the Stackelberg game under incomplete information is transformed into the Stackelberg game under complete information, proving that IT strategy equilibrium is the signal of business strategy equilibrium under separating equilibrium. This paper discusses the constraints under which the IT strategy equilibrium of the supplier and retailer is a monotone decreasing convex function of IT operation cost. Bilateral business strategy alignment can be achieved through alignment of the IT operation cost.
One of the reasons for the low utilization of teaching resources in colleges and universities is the lack of a more scientific course arranging system where the problem of multi-objective optimization needs to be solved. This paper studies the course arranging system of educational management, turning the timetabling problem into the multi-objective optimization problem and carry out the optimized design based on satisfied multiple conditions to meet various requirements. It also analyzes a variety of resource conflicts in the process of arranging courses and overcomes various resource conflicts to realize the function of the course arranging system of educational management. This paper carries out the design of the course arranging system of educational administration on the basis, constructing the organization structure model of the course arranging system of educational administration and analyzes its database and function realization to give full play to system's function and arrange a scientific and reasonable schedule.
In any scientific field, workers, whether these are scientists, regulators, or business people, try to understand where their field is going. A common tool is to check scientific publications to understand what are the advances in one's scientific field. In industry one probably also follows the patent arena. Strictly speaking, these approaches provide us mirrors and tell what has been done in the recent past. Here, we present an additional tool to understand where the field is going. Clinical trial registries form an under used resource. Here we present a short view of what can be done.
An experimental research was developed to individuate the possible correlations occurring among the evaporation rates of different wines (full-bodied red, rose and white) and the geometrical parameters or their mathematical combinations of six different glasses. The results clearly evidenced the possibility to relate the evaporation rate of a wine with some dimensionless parameters deriving from the linear combination of the geometrical characteristics of the glasses. Moreover, it was possible to individuate a mathematical model relating the evaporation rates with the dimensionless parameters which could be usefully utilized to design new glasses able to enhance the evaporation rates of wines. This may enable consumers to fully perceive the "bouquet" of a wine, which represents a key component of its organoleptic qualities.
The objective of this study is to explore the relationship among food-related values, food-related lifestyle and food-related behavior; to identify the underlying dimensions that summarize and capture the meaning of food-related values; and to segment food desert residents based on their food-related life style. Data were collected from a purposive sample of 44 residents of a food desert in Greensboro, North Carolina via a telephone survey. The results showed that the meaning of food related values was represented by social and basic values in the sample of food desert residents. Considering food related lifestyles, residents were classified into two segments: conscious residents and pleasure seeking residents. The findings support the existence of relationship among values, lifestyles and behaviors of food desert residents.
As aging is associated with changes in the diversity and composition of the microbiota, resulting in increased susceptibility to constipation and diarrhoea, probiotics seem to be a promising intervention to modulate and (partially) restore the gut microbiota and its associated disorders. Here, we review the current state of probiotic innovation for elderly nursing home residents with respect to bowel habit improvement. By systematically exploring all aspects of the innovation cycle, including unmet patient needs, efficacy, safety, and health economics, we revealed the main barriers and corresponding opportunities for probiotic valorisation within this domain. Although our results indicate that there is a clear unmet patient need and that probiotic intervention may be both efficacious and safe in improving the bowel habits of elderly residents in nursing homes, only few clinical studies have addressed this problem. High quality clinical studies are required to further drive the probiotic innovation cycle within this domain.
Clustering algorithm has been widely used in refined oil marketing strategy system, but there are certain shortcomings in sales productivity and diversity means. A unified strategic framework was proposed in the paper, which could make marketing strategy options gain financial returns on the basis of trading, and combine the change of company client assets with customer life cycle. The life cycle and purchase frequency data of all the customers in the industry were summarized, and a set of fast and effective refined product marketing strategy system was designed, which improved the efficiency of sales.
With the acceleration of industrialization and the popularization of urbanization, the use of conventional energy is increasing. Taking photovoltaic system required for solar energy conversion as an example, its application in urban building roof was studied, and the optimal installation angle and installation way of urban building roof in Zhoushan area of Zhejiang were determined. The energy consumed by production, installation and maintenance of PV modules per square meter was calculated and the greenhouse gas CO2 generated during the operation of PV modules per square meter was monitored. However, the amount of transportation and recycling process CO2 can't be obtained accurately so that the photovoltaic system was a relatively green system, which was suitable for urban roof building applications.
As one of the new teaching methods, flipped classroom has made great achievements in foreign language teaching. Meanwhile, many problems have also exposed Therefore, in this paper, the constraints of flipped classroom in foreign language teaching were put forward, and the incentive mechanism was studied. Firstly, the theory, characteristics and related research results of the flipped classroom were expounded in details. Then, three rounds of different English flip classes were designed, constructed and taught in college English teaching. The results show that the participation and communication can help to restrain students' autonomous learning behavior; the teacher' guidance and the students' interest-oriented teaching can stimulate students' interest inlearning.
In today's society, China is accelerating the process of urbanization. Soil is the material basis for human survival. However, in the process of urbanization, the soil has been polluted and damaged to varying degrees. In a series of soil pollution, heavy metal pollution is the most serious. In this paper, the industrial development zone of Shandong province was taken as an example, and the soil was sampled and analyzed statistically. Then, the pollution status of heavy metals in soil was investigated, and the environmental quality of heavy metals was evaluated. Further, the environmental capacity of heavy metals in soil was calculated. And finally, the potential ecological risk of heavy metals in soil was studied.
This paper studies problems in the agri-food supplier selection with the adaptation to the market demand as the starting point. Supplier selection should be made from the single cost criterion to multiple criteria, such as qualities, services and flexibility. The supplier's decision-making process should start from the buyer's single inventory cost model to the mutual coordination model between the seller and the buyer. within the pull system, the objective function of agri-food supplier selection consists of two parts, namely, comprehensive cost and market response ability. According to the relevant constraints, this paper provides the solution to the agri-food supplier selection model. Finally, this paper analyzes the specific meaning of three results of supplier selection through some examples, and it is concluded that the choice of suppliers can't rely solely on the principle of the optimal cost, instead, it must select a reasonable proportion between the market response ability and the total cost so as to make reasonable decisions according to the actual needs.
As a new tourism form, skiing tourism not only enriches the tourism activity content, but also can strengthen physical health. Therefore, it is highly appreciated around the whole China. Sichuan Province has achieved certain progress since the development of winter skiing tourism. Ski resorts increase and expand continuously. However, there are some problems in the development of local skiing tourism industry, such as improper market access management, low tourism popularity and shortage of high-quality management talents for skiing tourism. On this basis, countermeasures to these problems were proposed, aiming to facilitate sound development of local winter tourism industry.
